First CRC Small Groups
What is a Small Group? It’s a group of 8-12 men and women who meet regularly for connection, discussion, and prayer.
Why do small groups meet? Small groups provide a place for:
- Connection: New members, visitors and current members build trusting relationships with one another, and find a place where they belong and where they are loved and accepted.
- Discussion: Group members learn and grow through discussion. Each group chooses how to facilitate that discussion, either through conversations over a meal or through conversations facilitated through Bible study material. Periodically our small groups take a break from their typical discussion format and all groups discuss the same questions based on the sermon series in our morning worship.
- Prayer: Small groups provide a trusting environment where people can share personal needs and receive encouragement and prayer.
When do groups meet? Each group chooses when to meet. We have groups meeting at various days and times throughout the week. Some groups meet weekly, some groups meet every other week and some groups meet monthly. When you sign up to join a small group we will work with you find the best group to fit your schedule,
Who can join a Sermon-Based Small Group? Everyone—members of the First CRC Family, neighbors to our church, visitors to our church, friends of our church
